Sara Alimardani
Sara Alimardani is a senior public affairs professional with over 15 years of experience across diverse government ministerial portfolios and municipal entities. She began her political career with the provincial government and has successfully managed campaigns at all levels of government.
Recently, Sara worked on Mark Carney’s Leadership Campaign and served as the Campaign Deputy Director for the Liberal Party of Canada during the 2025 federal election, focusing on voter mobilization efforts in Ontario. She also served as the Director of Public Affairs for Peel Regional Police, where she established the first government relations practice for a municipal police service in the province and developed advocacy strategies for public safety priorities, including bail reform.
Throughout her career, Sara has developed extensive expertise in stakeholder relations, communications, and issues management, enabling her to effectively navigate complex issues within various political environments.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Sara was a senior advisor to the Mayor of Mississauga, collaborating with the city and the region on a wide range of public health and economic initiatives.
Sara is the past president of the Iranian Women’s Organization of Ontario and currently serves on the Toronto Steering Committee for Equal Voice, a nonpartisan organization dedicated to encouraging and supporting more women to seek public office.
She holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Toronto and a Master of Science in International Relations from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
